Skincare Regime

Today I just want to share about my skincare routine every morning and night. Want to know what I put on my face right from the start till the end of the day? πŸ˜‹

MORNING:

AVENE Thermal Spring Water. It's the first thing I put to my face after morning shower. Just spray to your face and you'll feel 100% fresh.

LA ROCHE-POSAY Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Serum. It says that it has anti-wrinkle concentrate, but I use it to repair and replump my skin.

KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil. For additional hydration, nourishment, healthy glow to my skin. Just warm a few drops in the palms of your hands (sometimes I blend it togethet with my moisturiser) and apply over the face.

OLAY Total Effects Moisturiser Gentle SPF 15. I've been using Olay for 8 years and I do believe it is suitable for my skin. I always use the one with SPF 15 as my day cream for protection against sun exposure.

AVENE Sunscreen Emulsion Face SPF 50+. Okay, I confess that I rarely use sunscreen, even in sunny days, unless it's a really really sizzling hot day. I don't like the smell of sunscreen on my face. But I have to admit that this is the only sunscreen that I feel safe for my sensitive skin, and also not greasy/not making my makeup on top of it looks cakey.

NIGHT:

BIODERMA Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution. It removes makeup, cleanses, therefore I never wash my face anymore. LOL but seriously. Anyway, it is fragrance free and suitable for sensitive skin. Do you notice that usually if our eyes got direct contact with the product, we're advised to rinse them? Well this product never stings my eyes as far as I remember, so I believe it is gentle to our eyes as well.

KORA Organics Calming Lavender Mist. I use this at night because of its soothing and calming scent, it helps me to relax and fall asleep better. It's also good to balance your skin pH.

LA ROCHE-POSAY Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Serum. Same as morning.

KORA Organics Noni Glow Face Oil. Same as morning.

OLAY Sensitive Moisturising Lotion. I'm lucky that my face doesn't need all the sophisticated Korean skincare products. Using a drugstore moisturiser is enough as long as it's for sensitive skin. I don't use the night cream because it only comes in a jar thus less hygienic for me.

LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask. I used to do the 20-minutes-sheet-mask routine but now I'm too lazy to wait. With this Laneige sleeping mask, I could just go to sleep right away and leave it overnight for deep hydration. Besides, I only use this twice a week. It comes in a jar but has a little spatula to take out the gel from inside. In the morning, I only need to rinse my face with warm water to wash it off.

So that's all for skincare, and next time I might be able to share about my makeup~ πŸ˜‰

Review: YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain

To those who know me, they would know for sure that I'm all about matte looks. I can't stand having makeup with gloss/shimmer/glitter. It just doesn't feel like me πŸ˜‹ and that's why I'm so excited about this YSL Tatouage Couture Matte Stain. πŸ’‹

I have 6 of them. Let me introduce the colours:

01 Rouge Tatouage
07 Nu Interdit
11 Rose Illicite
16 Nude Emblem
19 Fuchsia Intime
20 Pink Squad

They're all highly pigmented, last really long, and don't smear or stain your cup. By that, I mean they still do stain my cup a little bit if I drink my water right after I put them on. But after letting them set for a couple of minutes, they don't stain anymore.

This is a huge deal for me because I like to drink and watch my water intake, and usually my lipstick stains my cup all the time and it makes the colour fades pretty quick. I couldn't find any matte lipstick that's exactly what I wanted. I even tried the famous Kylie matte liquid lipstick but it was too drying. Seriously, my lips couldn't handle how drying it was and I changed to Korean lipstain ever since.

Let's have a look at how each of them looks on me! Remember, these are all matte but they might look glossy in some pictures because I always wear lipbalm before applying matte lipstick to prevent drying.

I believe shade 01 is the most vibrant, true red in the entire range. It's the colour that every girl would want to wear confidently. It looks so bold and daring, and I wish to be able to pull off a look with a vivid red lipstick. Thank goodness for YSL! This is the first red lipstick that I dare to put on my whole lips, not with gradient style. I feel so much confident because it stays in the shape of my lips and doesn't bleed. πŸ‘„

Shade 07 and 16 are the nude colours. 07 is really nude, the colour is just like our natural lips. In the tube it looks brown but actually it isn't. It doesn't give your lips much colour, but it's tinted enough to make your lips not pale. My boyfriend loves it when I wore no.07 because he likes my natural look and doesn't like me to have heavy makeup on. Shade 07 is just perfect to make your lips look nice, not pale, all natural.

07 is perfect according to my boyfriend but not for me because I don't look like wearing lipstick with it. I put lipstick on because I want to have some colour on my lips, right? On the other hand, 16 is nude but with much more prominent tint. To me, it still looks natural. You can tell that I definitely wear lipstick but not that much because it still looks nude, nothing near shade 01. In fact, shade 16 was the first one I bought in this collection because I just fell in love in how beautiful it is.

I don't have much to say about shade 11. It's a nice pink, but a weird pink. It looks so obviously pink, but so light and almost pale. I prefer either the prominent pink like 20 or just nude like 07. Well, I mean 11 turned out nice on me as well after a couple of time wearing it, but not every time. I guess I have to put different eye makeup to compliment it better.

Shade 19 and 20 look similar as well, especially if you wear it thin and make it into gradient lips like Korean style, they end up looking very similar. But if you fully colour your lip, they have very distinct shades. 19 is fuchsia which means cooler tone, while 20 is warmer and more like magenta shade. I personally like 20 better because I've always known that warm colours compliment my skin tone so well.

So yeah.. If I could rate from which I love the most to the least, it's: 16, 01, 20, 07, 11, 19. I'd probably do a swatch review in the future...maybe if I have the will and time lol. But this time I just wanted to share how wonderful my collection is! πŸ’„

Review: L'occitane Cherry Blossom Cerisier IrisΓ©

This is my new obsession: L'occitane new limited edition cherry blossom for 2019, Cerisier Irise. I bought myself the travel size package, contains the body milk, shower gel, eau de toilette, and hand cream. Along with that, I also purchased the full size bottle of the body milk and eau de toilette.

I honestly don't really like the regular L'occitane cherry blossom (I prefer the almond range). But this one smells extremely good! It's so delicate, soothing, and there is nothing from the scent that makes me cringe even a little. The whole collection is only lightly scented, but lasts for a long day.

That makes me really happy because my boyfriend is not a big fan of strong fragrance. He dislikes my high-end branded perfume because it smells so strong and makes him dizzy. But he totally approves of this L'occitane Cerisier Irise! 🌸

I'm not an expert in fragrance so I don't know how to explain the top, middle, and base notes. It definitely has floral and citrus scent, but they blend so well so that you don't really care what it smells like anymore as long as you smell so good with it!

I would give it a 10/10. It doesn't have any con in my opinion. The only downside is that it'll only be here for a limited time, so what should I wear if it's gone?? I have to find another scent that's perfectly suitable for me and my boyfriend. But I heard L'occitane regularly releases a different version of cherry blossom every year, so I'll check it out next year if there is one. πŸ˜‰
